Sustainable Energy and Environment Quiz
(SEEQ), the annual inter- college quiz competition organized by the Energy
Club, on the occasion of Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urjaa Diwas, is one of the largest
events in the Western Zone in the field of renewable energy and environment.
Its 11th edition was successfully organized by the Energy Club in 2018. The
total number of participating teams were 400 comprising upto 2 members in each
team from different colleges of Rajasthan.
The event was sponsored by ISHRAE and ASHRAE and winners were awarded
prizes comprising of cash and goodies.
Like previous years this year also saplings were distributed to every participant as
a symbol of motivation towards
environment conservation.
The quiz was a two day event and comprised
of 4 rounds. On the first day written round was held. In written round 45
objective questions were asked related to energy and environment. Top 50 teams
from written round were selected for round two. Round two was also a written round , but in
this the questions were asked directly by quiz masters with the help of presentation.
As the event proceeded the quiz got more competitive , 3rd & 4th round were
most competitive and were specially enjoyed by the spectators.
The felicitation ceremony was held on the
same day. The cash prize was awarded to top 3 teams. The first position was
bagged by Vedant Goyal & Umang Sharma _MNIT, while Rinku Yadav & Atul Sharma_St. Wilfred's
College stood second and Bhanu Mohindra
& Nikhil Sharma_MNIT finished third. Certificate of achievement was awarded
to all the teams qualifying first round. Dr. Kapil Pareek addressed the
gathering and awarded participants with the prizes. Energy Club senior member
Anish Raj gave Vote of Thanks to the gathering and thus the extravagant event
came to a halt and hopefully we stepped a step more towards a better future for
our society.
